About the Blog

Welcome to The Budgetess. I focus on finances for women at every stage of their financial journey. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to optimize your finances, this blog is for you. Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter for the latest tips and insights about financial well-being and empowerment.

Women typically make less than their male counterparts, tend to live longer and often have fewer working years to save for retirement. Financial health is crucial for women, yet many don’t know how much they need to save or haven’t started saving. At some point, many women will need to manage their own money in retirement. My goal is to empower women with the knowledge and the tools they need to take control of their financial future.

I aim to provide an in-depth, hands-on guide to personal finance, money management, and investing. I cover all aspects of personal finance, including planning, budgeting, saving, investing, retirement, credit and generational wealth. My blog offers practical advice, step-by-step guides, and real-life examples to help you make informed financial decisions. I believe financial literacy is the key to independence and confidence, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

A little about me

I’m in the process of becoming a CPA, I have a BA with a focus in accounting. I live in Northern Ontario and enjoy reading and spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs. I’ve always helped my friends and family with their finances, explaining concepts in ways they can understand. I love it, so what better topic to blog about?

My background

My journey into the world of finance started at a young age. I was always fascinated by numbers and how they could tell a story. My dad works at an accounting firm and as a child, I spent many weekends with him at the office. This passion led me to pursue a degree in accounting, where I honed my skills and developed a deep understanding of financial principles. As I progressed in my career, I realized that many people, especially women, lacked the financial education necessary to make informed decisions. This realization inspired me to start The Budgetess.

In addition to my academic background, my real-world experience has been instrumental in shaping my approach to personal finance. I’ve worked in various roles that have given me a broad perspective on financial management. These experiences have equipped me with the insights and expertise needed to offer practical and effective financial advice.

At The Budgetess, I strive to create a supportive community where women can learn, share and grow together. I encourage you to engage with the content, ask questions, and share your own experiences. Together, we can break down the barriers to financial success and build a brighter future.

Thank you for visiting The Budgetess. I’m excited to have you on this journey towards financial empowerment. Don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter and stay updated with the latest posts and resources. Let’s take control of our financial destinies together.
